CHRI
London's regional remit covers the Commonwealth member states
in the Western hemisphere. Its main aim is to promote awareness
of and adherence to internationally recognised human rights instruments
across these member states, particularly those pertaining to Access
to Justice and Right to Information. Due to its strategic location,
CHRI London acts as a liaison between its two overseas offices
and official UK government and Commonwealth bodies, and plays
a principle role in the organisation's international advocacy
programmes. On top of this it also undertakes periodic enquiry
missions and special reports. CHRI London is a registered UK charity
and relies on external funding to enable it to continue with its
work.
