Commonwealth Secretaries-General and Human Rights: A Retrospective

Written by Dr. Dwayne Ryan Menezes exclusively for CHRI, this is an evaluation of the Commonwealth and the five Secretaries-General that have led the organisation for the past half-century.

Dr. Menezes is the Director of the Human Security Centre. He also serves as Director at the Polar Research and Policy Initiative and is Consultant to the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth. Dr. Menezes is Associate Fellow, Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London.
