CHRI is organising a series of side events during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in London this month. These include panel discussions on 'Reducing Pre-trial Detention in the Commonwealth' and 'Commonwealth Small States', and a roundtable on 'Re-engagement of Gambia and Zimbabwe with the Commonwealth'. Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi will be releasing our 'CHOGM report on SDG 8.7' which concerns modern slavery and human trafficking. CHRI, in partnership with the Commonwealth Foundation is also pleased to be holding the first ever 'Festival of Commonwealth Film' at CHOGM which will bring human rights films from the Commonwealth to the summit.
