CHRI’s Access to Information (ATI) Programme successfully hosted a Right to Information -Learning Visit (RTI-LV) from 19th -26th August 2019 for a 14 member delegation from Kenya which included Commissioners from the Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), Kenya and members of the Kenyan Parliament. Among the delegates, there was one representative from the office of the President too. The RTI-LV has been resourced by experts which included former information commissioners, ex-Member of Parliament, eminent journalists, CSO representatives and master trainers having experience of training government officers on RTI. The sessions focused primarily on issues related to framing of regulations, proactive disclosure and training. The delegates also visited the Central Information Commission (CIC) in New Delhi to have an immersive experience of hearings conducted in the CIC.
