Punjab Police Act, 2007

AN ACT to respond to the democratic aspirations of the people and to provide for the establishment,regulation and management of the police, redefine its role, duties and responsibilities and to enable it to functions an efficient, professional, effective, accountable, people friendly, service oriented and responsive agency, free from extraneous influences, accountable to law by taking into account the emerging challenges of policing, enforcement of rule of law.
