This is a collation of  State compliance notes  which  assess the  status of compliance by states with the Supreme Court directives on police reforms on paper (as provided for in the Police Act or the government order). Barriers in Accessing Justice

This report documents 14 case studies from Uttar Pradesh, India of police refusal and failure to register complaints of survivors of sexual assault. The case studies describe the experiences of sexual violence survivors in reporting their complaints, facing refusal and/or delay in the first instance, pursuing remedies, and the final outcomes.
